Sometimes the things that knock us off balance aren’t obvious. You might not realize that breakup from months or even years ago is still affecting you. That routine dentist appointment that shouldn’t be a big deal might actually be triggering real anxiety. Other life experiences can mask what’s really going on – making it hard to see why you’re feeling anxious, depressed, disconnected, or overwhelmed.
Tiffany is a Licensed Professional Counselor who helps you make those connections. She believes that connecting with people is a huge part of healing, and she creates space where you can feel comfortable and safe being honest about what’s hard – even when you’re not quite sure what “what’s hard” actually is yet.
How Tiffany Works
Tiffany takes a humanistic, person-centered approach – which means she sees you as the expert on your own life. Her job is to help you move past what’s weighing you down, build resilience, and find emotional regulation that comes from within. She works with individuals ages 17 and up dealing with anxiety, depression, life transitions, and relationship trauma – helping them adjust while managing the difficult emotions that come with those experiences.
Tiffany is trained in some powerful techniques that tap into your brain’s natural ability to heal:
EMDR and Brainspotting – These approaches help decrease feelings of anger, fear, and sadness by improving neural pathways that hardships have altered. If you’ve been carrying trauma or stuck emotions, these techniques can be game-changers.
Art Therapy – Tiffany is trained in all art therapy modalities. Like EMDR and Brainspotting, art therapy drops you into your emotional brain, bypassing the overthinking and intellectualizing that can get in the way of healing. For some people, creating art provides a direct path to processing emotions that words can’t quite reach, making healing easier and more natural. It also builds emotional regulation skills and confidence as you create and express yourself in new ways.
Internal Family Systems (IFS) – This method helps you work with the different parts of yourself – like that overactive “not good enough” voice – so you can develop higher confidence and self-compassion.
Depending on what resonates with you, sessions might also include CBT approaches or music therapy techniques. Tiffany doesn’t just talk about positive self-care – she lives it, models it, and helps you build practices that fit your life.
Who Tiffany Is
On weekends, you’ll find Tiff exploring one of Texas’s 88 state parks with one of her dogs, trying new restaurants around Montgomery or Houston with her significant other, creating art at home, or using her VR headset to virtually explore the world with her three cats nearby while listening to an audiobook. She brings that same curiosity and creativity to her work with clients.
