Amy R. Dean, LMFT-S is a dedicated therapist based in Montgomery, Texas, specializing in children, teens, and young adults. She leads a private group practice and focuses on family therapy, child and adolescent issues, grief and loss, suicidal ideation, self-injury, culture shock, and repatriation, particularly for Third Culture Kids (TCK). As a Texas-approved supervisor, Amy is passionate about mentoring emerging therapists and helping them refine their skills.

With a rich background that includes living in various regions such as the Caribbean, South America, Central Asia, South Asia, and Southeast Asia, Amy brings a unique perspective to her practice. As a trailing spouse and a mother of a TCK, she understands the challenges faced by expatriates and those navigating cultural transitions. Her personal experiences have deepened her empathy and informed her approach, leading her to pursue workshops that explore the expatriate experience.

As a humanistic therapist, Amy believes in the inherent potential within every individual. She is committed to providing the support and practical feedback necessary for overcoming personal challenges. By employing a variety of therapeutic methodologies, she tailors her approach to empower individuals, teens, and families to leverage their strengths and achieve their goals.

In her free time, Amy enjoys traveling, reading, binge-watching Netflix, and cherishing moments with her dog and cat.
