Tiffany Stout, M.A., LPC

(She/Her)

In person and telehealth sessions available

Tiffany is a Licensed Professional Counselor that has discovered that hardships (even little ones like going to the dentist or a  small break up) can cause anxiety, depression, disconnectedness, outbursts, and more. She takes a humanistic approach with her clients using a person-centered view and enjoys helping people move past their burdens to build resilience and find emotional regulation within themselves. She believes that connecting with people is a large part of healing and allows her clients space where they can feel comfortable and safe.

She often works with individuals going through new phases in life so they can adjust while lessening the upset of anxiety and depression from the transitions and upheaval that it can produce. She uses techniques that she has trained in such as EMDR and Brainspotting (techniques that utilize a person’s own natural ability to decrease feelings of anger, fear, and sadness) to improve neural pathways that hardships have previously altered creating troublesome anxiety and depression symptoms.

Tiffany is also trained in mindfulness and Internal Family Systems (IFS) (a technique that allows a person to tackle some of the challenges they face like an overactive “not good enough” part of themselves so they can develop higher confidence). She believes that when it comes to mental health, body, mind and soul play a part as a unit to stay healthy and encourages positive awareness of self. Depending on the individual, art therapy techniques, CBT techniques, and even music therapy techniques may also show up in a session. Tiffany believes in helping people find positive coping. She not only utilizes positive self care in her daily life, she teaches, models and encourages those around her to do the same.

On weekends, Tiff can often be spotted in one of the 89 state parks of Texas with one of her dogs, trying new restaurants around Montgomery or Houston with her significant other, holed up at her house creating her latest artistic endeavor or using her VR to virtually explore the world alongside her 2 cats while she listens to an audiobook.
