Telehealth Only – Serving All of Texas
Life has a way of throwing curveballs when we least expect them. Maybe you’re lying awake at 3 AM with your mind racing. Maybe you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or just not quite yourself. If you’re looking for someone who gets it and won’t waste your time with cookie-cutter advice, you’re in the right place.
Lisa Vanderpool is a Licensed Professional Counselor who meets with clients exclusively through telehealth, serving adults anywhere in Texas. No driving to an office, no waiting rooms – just therapy from wherever you feel most comfortable. She specializes in anxiety, stress, depression, substance issues, trauma, boundaries, assertiveness, and those moments when you realize you’re ready for something different in your life. Lisa knows that your story is yours alone, and she honors that.
How Lisa Works
There’s no one-size-fits-all approach here. Lisa tailors therapy to what you actually need, not what a textbook says you should need. She often draws from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution Focused Therapy, anxiety education, and mindfulness techniques – whatever combination helps you understand what’s happening and move forward. Think of it as building a toolkit that’s customized for your life.
Lisa creates space where you can talk about the hard stuff without judgment. Her style? Straightforward, personable, supportive, with a good sense of humor and genuine compassion. She listens to understand, not to check boxes. And because sessions are telehealth-only, you can show up from wherever feels right – your living room, your home office, even your parked car during lunch break. All you need is a private space and an internet connection.
Who Lisa Helps
Lisa works well with adults dealing with anxiety, stress, depression, substance issues, OCD tendencies, trauma (PTSD), attention issues (ADHD), anger, relationship challenges, parenting struggles, career crossroads, and life transitions. She offers practical strategies to reduce anxiety and overthinking, improve sleep and healthy habits, strengthen communication skills, and simply function better day-to-day.
She also helps you understand what’s actually happening in your brain and body when anxiety strikes, and teaches methods to feel calmer and manage symptoms more successfully. Lisa often recommends documentaries or books that might click for you – because sometimes understanding yourself better happens in unexpected ways.
What to Expect
The first session is about connection. You’ll talk about how you’ve been feeling, what’s been weighing on you lately, and Lisa will ask questions to better understand your experience. Together, you’ll identify what you want to accomplish and start mapping out a path forward.
From there, you’ll work together to define your goals, identify obstacles, explore your strengths, and figure out what needs attention. The focus is always on helping you feel better and navigate life more successfully – on your terms.
