Helping children find their voice and adults rediscover their peace.
Every child deserves to feel understood, and every parent deserves support in understanding their child. Maybe your kid is struggling with big emotions they can’t quite name. Maybe you’re navigating anxiety, a life transition, or relationship challenges and need someone who really gets it. Finding a therapist who connects with both children and adults – and understands how those worlds intersect – can make all the difference.
Elizabeth is a Counseling Student Intern pursuing her Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Sam Houston State University, where she’s also earning a certificate in Play Therapy. She joined Lake Conroe Counseling Center in August 2025 and is passionate about supporting families – walking alongside both children and adults as they face life’s challenges, build emotional awareness, and grow in confidence and connection.
Working with Children: Play Therapy
Elizabeth has a special passion for working with children. She uses play-based techniques that allow kids to communicate in the way that feels most natural and safe to them. She believes that play is a child’s first language, and through it, she helps children develop emotional regulation, confidence, independence, and stronger social skills.
Elizabeth is especially dedicated to working with neurodivergent children, including those with ADHD and autism. She creates a space where every child feels accepted, respected, and free to be themselves – exactly as they are. No masks required.
She also values working closely with parents and caregivers, recognizing the vital role you play in your child’s healing and growth. You’re not just dropping your kid off for therapy – you’re partners in this process.
Working with Adults
Through her training and clinical experience, Elizabeth has worked with adults navigating anxiety, depression, life transitions, and relationship concerns. She creates a warm, approachable space where you feel genuinely heard and supported – whether you’re beginning therapy for the first time or returning after some time away.
Her therapeutic style is grounded in person-centered care, always guided by compassion, curiosity, and deep respect for your unique story. She understands that everyone brings their own strengths to the process, and her role is to help you recognize and build on those strengths as you work toward the life you want.
Who Elizabeth Is
Outside of the counseling room, Elizabeth spends time with loved ones, binge-watches her favorite TV shows, and cares for her dog and two cats. She considers it an honor to support children and families on their journey toward healing, connection, and well-being.
