Life doesn’t always cooperate with our plans. Maybe you’re caught in the middle – raising kids while also caring for aging parents, feeling like you’re being pulled in too many directions at once. Maybe you’re dealing with marriage challenges, professional stress, or the weight of being responsible for everyone else’s wellbeing while your own takes a back seat. Maybe you’re grieving – whether that’s the loss of someone you love, a job that ended, a life transition that changed everything, or even the person you thought you’d be by now. You’re looking for someone who gets it – someone who can help you figure out what to do next without making it more complicated than it needs to be.

Connie is a Licensed Professional Counselor who works with adults dealing with real life challenges. She especially enjoys working with the sandwich generation – those caught between raising kids and caring for aging parents – and the aging population itself, understanding the unique experiences and transitions that come with different life stages. She gets the complexity of juggling family dynamics from both directions, professional demands, caregiving responsibilities, health concerns, and the stress that comes with trying to hold it all together. She also works with grief in all its forms – recognizing that loss shows up in many ways beyond death.

How Connie Works

Connie meets you exactly where you are. She starts by listening, establishing rapport, and building a therapeutic relationship where you feel comfortable being honest. From there, you work together to develop plans and goals that make sense for your life.

Her approach is eclectic but grounded primarily in Brief Solution-Focused Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy – practical approaches that help you identify solutions and make real progress. She incorporates effective techniques from other methods as needed, always tailoring her approach to what works for you.

If integrating a Christian perspective is important to you, Connie can incorporate faith into the therapeutic process in a way that honors your spiritual life. If that’s not your preference, she works just as effectively without it. The focus is always on what helps you most.

What to Expect

Connie communicates in a straightforward way. She listens, asks questions, and gives you work to do both in session and outside of sessions. This isn’t passive talk therapy – it’s a partnership to accomplish your goals. She creates a kind, supportive relationship that’s independent from the rest of your life, so you can freely explore what’s going on without worrying about judgment or complicated dynamics.

Connie focuses on identifying your strengths so you can strategize more effectively around life’s obstacles and challenges. She believes growth can be challenging and stressful, but it’s often the catalyst for positive outcomes. While diagnosis is sometimes necessary for insurance or treatment planning, she doesn’t focus on labels – she focuses on helping you move forward.
