Who Devora Is

Devora White is a Licensed Professional Counselor-Associate who earned her Master of Education in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and practices under the supervision of Bianca Bonds, LPC-S. She brings a multidisciplinary background in counseling and education, allowing her to support clients with clarity, compassion, and structure.

Devora’s Background

Before entering the counseling field, Devora taught secondary English for four years and remains a certified educator. She also worked as a Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP-CS), providing services to children and adolescents ages 3–17 and their families across a wide range of concerns. She completed her clinical internship at The Harris Center’s Outpatient Competency Restoration (OCR) unit, where she worked with individuals experiencing psychotic and substance use disorders within complex systems of care.

How Devora Works

Devora approaches therapy as a collaborative and structured process, meeting clients where they are while helping them work toward meaningful, sustainable change. Her work is eclectic, taking from multiple evidence-based modalities, such as  Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) and Narrative Exposure Therapy (NET); however, it is grounded in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).

Her style is warm, thoughtful, and goal-oriented, combining practical skill-building with space for deeper exploration of lived experiences and trauma. Devora helps clients identify strengths, challenge unhelpful thought patterns, and develop healthier coping strategies, while remaining attentive to how past experiences shape present functioning. She believes therapy is most effective when clients feel supported, empowered, and actively involved in their healing process.

Who Devora is

Outside of therapy, Devora is married with children and comes from a large family. Her husband’s military background has shaped her appreciation for resilience and adaptability. A lifelong learner, she enjoys writing young adult fiction and poetry, reading fantasy, and exploring meaningful themes in literature and drama.
