Lisa Vanderpool is a licensed professional counselor focused on helping you and your family navigate life and support you on your journey. Lisa works with clients on their goals, such as, reducing depression and anxiety, improving relationships, communication skills, and academic performance. Lisa works with children, teenagers, adults, couples and families. Her approach is individualized, creative, practical, and kind.

Lisa has over twenty years of experience in the field of psychology. Her experience includes ten years managing an accredited inpatient psychiatric facility for severely emotionally disturbed children and adolescents in Florida. She was the assistant director of Interfaith Child Development Center in The Woodlands. After receiving her master’s degree in psychology from Our Lady of the Lake University in Texas, she worked as a licensed professional counselor intern for an AD/HD treatment center in The Woodlands, and for Interfaith Community Clinic.

Her methods include solution-focused therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, behavior modification, and mindfulness techniques. Lisa’s strengths are in the areas of anxiety/panic/OCD, drug/alcohol abuse/addiction, civilian trauma/PTSD, and LGBTQ issues/transitioning clients. She is compassionate, affirming and supportive.
