LaShonta Edwards is a Marriage and Family student intern, attending Lamar University. She specializes in supporting older teens and couples in their mental health journey. She holds a Bachelor’s in Psychology from Purdue Global University and has gained experience through education, certifications, and postpartum advocacy. A mental health advocate and speaker, she leads workshops at conventions and universities.
As a parent with kids from infancy to college, LaShonta values providing a safe space for teens to discuss anything on their minds. She excels in helping others navigate life’s challenging issues, no matter how taboo. Drawing on her expertise as an ABS-certified clinical sexologist when working with couples, LaShonta is committed to helping clients cultivate satisfying lives and relationships.
Outside the office, LaShonta enjoys coffee dates with friends, collecting cute mugs, and savoring balanced cake bites and crunchy tacos (usually not at the same time). With three older kids and a sweet baby, she’s always ready for family adventures in Houston, TX.
